| The Fundraising and Marketing Strategist will work closely with senior staff in our Goa office to design and implement a fundraising strategy. He or she will be responsible for seeking out and applying for relevant awards and grants. Experience in sales and or/branding will be of use for the marketing tasks. A firm understanding of finance and marketing is crucial, experience in the non-profit sector is desirable. Organisation Background A international media organisation which serves to give disadvantaged communities a voice. Through a localised media programme the residents are encouraged to develop analytical and technical skills which allow them to bring to light matters of interest. Duties and Responsibilities • Design and implement a fundraising strategy alongside current senior staff • General fundraising • Responsible for seeking out and applying for relevant awards and grants. • Business development and internal/external communications tasks Skills and Experience Required • A firm understanding of finance and marketing • Past experience in the non-profit sector is desirable • Excellent business development skills. • Experience in Communications an advantage • Capacity to work within tight deadlines • Ability to work independently, set aggressive schedules, and take initiative Please note that this is a voluntary position.
