Reporting to the Sales Manager, the successful candidate will demonstrate proven engineering success and hands on experience gained within a technically driven control systems and systems integration specialist or OEM environment, and will be tasked with promoting applicable products and services within the target customer base, gaining orders, specification and standardisation whilst proactively researching into both existing and new market offerings that would benefit from our clients offering.. It is envisaged that the successful candidate will have attained a suitable qualification in a relevant Electrical, Controls or Systems Engineering discipline and be able to demonstrate proven experience gained ideally within a hands on hardware design environment (and being aware and experienced in the use of components, control systems / PLC panels, Ethernet switches etc. As the successful candidate you will not only have a provable successful field sales background; you will be a natural relationship builder with a high level of energy and drive, a consistent achiever and a customer service focussed attitude. You will also possess the following: Skills & expertise • Relevant technical qualification (ONC/HNC/Degree) in an electrical/controls discipline. • Significant sales experience and track record. (a proven closing ability at value £50k+) • PC & Internet literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. • Well developed presentation skills. (One to one and group) • Strong communication skills and with the ability to deal with people up to director level. • Be able to demonstrate sound levels of literacy and numeracy. • Strong organisation and administrative skills. • The ability to express themselves effectively and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
