| BG1026 CHECK Team Leader or CREST Consultant Our Bristol based client is looking to appoint a CHECK Team Leader or CREST Consultant The Job The successful applicant will need to have experience of all aspects of penetration testing in a commercial and government environment. You will be a certified CHECK Team Leader or CREST Consultant, in either the Infrastructure or Web Applications discipline. You will be experienced in using a variety of network security testing tools and exploits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective action, as well as experience of manual penetration testing and an understanding of IP Networking in a security context. You will be experienced in security testing of Web based applications and in the use of the relevant web application testing tools. You will have experience in dealing with Clients at initial engagement of the work, right through to presentation of the final test report. As test Leader you will:- • Undertake IT Health Checks / Vulnerability Assessments, individually or as Lead consultant on team tests. • Conduct the end-to-end testing activity in line with the Penetration Test Service. • Produce Case Studies for each test completed. • Assist in maintaining the CHECK Laboratory with the designated CHECK Lab Owner. • Support Service Development and the Sales process through pre-sales support, Bid input and Proposal writing. • Support Group IS and contributing to White Papers and research documents. • Maintain professional CHECK Team Leader standards. • Mentor the CHECK Team Members and more junior CHECK Team Leaders to ensure high quality test delivery and to promote and encourage knowledge sharing amongst the team. The Person You must be CHECK Team Leader, or CREST Consultant certified. You will:- • Have proven IT background (Systems Support, Software Development). • Have experience of penetration testing in a commercial and government environment. • Plan and execute a test schedule as required. • Manage client expectations and provide daily updates of the testing activity. • Undertake technical tests following the agreed scope, utilising a standard build tool set of Network or Web App Security test tools. • Identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective action. • Write comprehensive and professional reports of the testing activities. • Present the report content to client in a professional manner. • Ensure all client timesheets are submitted and approved for each tester. • Undertake any reasonable requests to ad-hoc tasking requests in line with the skill set. • Demonstrate knowledge of the broader Information Security issues. • Possess knowledge and experience of the full range of Microsoft Office applications. • Hold a current driving Licence.
